Last year, Amy J. Murphy earned a Dragon Award nomination for her debut novel, Allies & Exiles: Fallen, and her latest book, Exiles, has scooped up a second nomination in the Best Military Science Fiction or Fantasy Novel category.
The award is handed out at DragonCon, and is used to “recognize excellence in fiction, comics, gaming, TV and movies.”
Here’s what the book is about:
Ironvale. Splitdawn. Poisoncry. Three bloodthirsty guilds that control the decaying corner of space known as the Reaches. Their precarious balance of power exists at a tipping point.
One nudge and chaos reigns.
Renegade soldier, Sela Tyron, is willing to supply that nudge to help her partner, Jon Veradin, rescue his nuisance sister, Erelah. Even if it means trusting the traitorous Asher Corsair. Or turning herself into an assassin.
The awards will be announced on September 3rd. Anyone can go out and vote.
