Vermont Comic Con is officially happening, and they’re getting ready to go. Here’s the initial press release and activities they have planned so far:
Burlington, VT – Vermont’s second annual Comic Con is back celebrating September 19-20 at the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center in South Burlington.
Presented by Magic Hat Brewing Company, Gemr, Yogibo, and Tilt’s Classic Arcade & Ale House, Vermont Comic Con is hosting a Blood Drive throughout the weekend in partnership with the American Red Cross. They will also be holding an art raffle, with proceeds to benefit Special Olympics Vermont.
An event designed to provide fun for the entire family, Vermont Comic Con events include:
-Meet top artists in the world of comics, representing Marvel Comics (Joe Caramanga & Charles Paul Wilson III), Archie Comics (Dan Parent), Image Comics (Cliff Rathburn), IDW (Blair Shedd) & more -Exclusive art and commission opportunities from local artists-
-Free Junior Jedi Classes (brought to us by Martial Arts Instructor Nate Porter)
-Gaming room with games for players of all levels presented by Brap’s Magic -Cosplay events, including a visits from the 501st New England Garrison & Vermont Cosplayers, as well as panels and a costume contest -Appearances by Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story), Jason Faunt (Power Rangers), Brian O’Halloran (Clerks) & more -Vermont Comic Con Jr, an arts & creativity workshop hosted all weekend by Emily Drouin of the comic book series ‘Eplis’ with a family-friendly after party at Tilt -Numerous panels for fans, as well as networking opportunities for local artists, writers, and makers
-21+ After Party hosted by Zen Lounge
