Strange as Science, Dark as Night Reading – Recap

Last night, Geek Mountain State and the Renegade Writer’s Collective teamed up for a dedicated Science Fiction / Fantasy reading. The end result, we should say, was awesome. We had stories on colonial-era monsters, strange dorm rooms, powered armor soldiers, fantastic beer bottle tops and a humorous mission to Mars. This was the first time that Geek Mountain State folks have gotten together in a physical space: It was fantastic to meet some of our regular followers: Trisha, Nate, Rowgirl, Rob, Daniel, Kate, Lara & Andrew, and a whole bunch of other folks that I’m sure I’m missing. Major props are due to Angela and Jessica of the RWC for their fantastic work and space for the night. Here’s a couple of images that we pulled from the evening:

Staged reading of Jeanne Beckwith’s play.

All in all, this night was a blast. We’re thinking about doing this again soon, so stay tuned!
