Yesterday Green Mountain Gamers announced their first “mega” game day. On April 27th, 2013, the Lake Morey Resort hosts MEGA Spring Meltdown, from 9:00am to midnight. In the style of Unity Games, this game day is open play from start to finish. Bring a game, look for a game to play.
The convention-going gamer may recognize Lake Morey Resort. It’s the former home of Carnage and has certainly proved itself as an ideal location for tabletop gaming. Odds are there will be ample pre- and post-game day gaming, as the hotel provides the opportunity for attendees to sleep over and not worry about driving home.
Preregister for MEGA Spring Meltdown for $10 or you can pay $15 at the door. This is a change for Green Mountain Game Days, but certainly a reasonable one, given the leap from grange and church halls to an event space like Lake Morey.
If you don’t wish to wait until April to get your game on — and who would? — the group’s Winter Weirdness game day is right around the corner in Barre. In addition to playing game, donate canned goods to enter a raffle for a gift certificate to the friendly local game store of your choice.
