A random tweet from an author that I really like brought this to my attention last night, and for all of those coming home from PAX East over this past weekend, it might be a way to continue some of the fun. Harvard University has their own SciFi / Fantasy / Gaming convention, now in its 6th year:

Vericon is a science-fiction, fantasy, gaming, and anime convention featuring many events and distinguished guest speakers. It has been held annually at Harvard University since 2001. The eleventh Vericon will take place on Friday-Sunday, March 18-20, 2011. The convention is sponsored by the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association (HRSFA), an undergraduate student group.

This year, it looks like they’ve got a really good group of authors coming to talk with them: Brandon Sanderson (Guest of Honor), Austin Grossman, Holly Black, Catherine Asaro, Sarah Smith, Ellen Kushner and Delia Sherman will all be there, and will be signing books.

Pricing is also fairly reasonable:

Student Non-student
Online pre-registration
(closes Monday, January 31)

(closes Monday, March 7)
Full weekend $20 $30
Registration at the door Full weekend $25 $35

I’m planning on stopping by to see Austin Grossman and to get my copy of ‘Soon I Will Be Invincible‘ signed.
